Steel Q195, Q235, the difference in material?

What is the difference between Q195, Q215, Q235, Q255 and Q275 in terms of material?

Carbon structural steel is the most used steel, the largest number of often rolled into steel, profiles and profiles, generally do not need to be heat-treated direct use, mainly for general structure and engineering.

Q195, Q215, Q235, Q255 and Q275, etc., respectively, indicate the grade of steel, steel grade by the representative of the yield point of the letter (Q), the yield point value, quality, quality and other symbols (A, B, C, D) deoxygenation method of symbols and so on the four parts of the sequential composition. From the chemical composition, mild steel grades Q195, Q215, Q235, Q255 and Q275 grades large, the higher the carbon content, manganese content, the more stable its plasticity. Mechanical properties from the points, the above grades indicate that the thickness ≤ 16mm of the yield point of steel. Its tensile strength were: 315-430, 335-450, 375-500, 410-550, 490-630 (obN/mm2); qi its elongation were: 33 , 31, 26, 24, 20 (0.5 %). Therefore, when introducing steel to customers, customers should be reminded to purchase different materials of steel according to the required product materials, so as not to affect product quality.

What is the difference between Q235A and Q235B materials?

Q235A and Q235B are both carbon steel. In the national standard GB700-88, Q235A and Q235B material distinction is mainly in the carbon content of steel, the material for the Q235A material carbon content in 0.14-0.22 ﹪ between; Q235B material does not do the impact test, but often do the temperature impact test, V-notch. Comparatively speaking, the mechanical properties of the material Q235B steel is far better than the material Q235A steel. In general, the steel mill in the finished profiles before leaving the factory are marked on the identification plate. Users can tell whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or other materials on the marking plate.

Japanese steel grades are SPHC, SPHD, etc. What do they mean?

Japanese steel (JIS series) grades of ordinary structural steel mainly consists of three parts: the first part indicates the material, such as: S (Steel) means steel, F (Ferrum) means iron. The second part of the different shapes, types, uses, such as P (plate) that plate, T (tube), K (kogu) that tool. The third part of the table characteristics of the number, generally the minimum tensile strength. Such as: ss400 - the first s that the steel (Ssteel), the second s that the "structure" (Structuree), 400 for the lower line strength of 400Mpa ordinary structural steel. Among them: sphc ---- first Ssteel Steel abbreviation, P for the plate Pate abbreviation, H for the heat Heat abbreviation, Commercial abbreviation, the whole indicates that the general hot-rolled and steel strip.

SPHD----- denotes hot rolled steel sheet and strip for stamping.

SPHE------ denotes hot rolled steel sheets and strips for deep drawing.

SPCC------ denotes cold rolled carbon steel sheet and strip for general use, equivalent to China Q195-215A grade. The third letter C is an abbreviation for Cold, which is required to ensure the tensile test at the end of the grade plus T for SPCCT.

SPCD------ indicates cold rolled carbon steel and steel strip for punching, equivalent to China 08AL (13237) high quality carbon structural steel.

SPCE------ denotes cold rolled carbon steel sheet and strip for deep drawing, equivalent to China 08AL (5213) punching steel. To ensure non-functionality, add N to SPCEN at the end of the grade.

Cold rolled carbon steel sheet and strip designation, annealed condition for A, standard tempered for S, 1/8 hard for 8, 1/4 hard for 4, 1/2 hard for 2.

Surface finish code: no gloss finishing for D, gloss finishing for B. Such as SPCCT-SD indicates the standard tempered, no gloss finishing cold rolled carbon sheet for general use. Then SPCCT-SB indicates standard tempered, brightly finished, cold rolled carbon sheet with guaranteed mechanical properties.
