Hot-dip galvanized square tube is made of steel plate or steel strip after coil forming and welding of square tubes and hot-dip galvanized pool through a series of chemical reaction molding of square tubes; can also be made through hot-rolled or cold-rolled galvanized steel strip after cold bending, and then high-frequency welding of a hollow square cross-section of steel tubes.
Hot-dip galvanized square tube has good strength, toughness, plasticity and welding and other process properties and good ductility, its alloy layer is firmly attached to the steel base, so the hot-dip galvanized square tube can be cold punching, rolling, drawing, bending, and other kinds of molding without damage to the plating layer; for general processing such as drilling, cutting, welding, cold bending and other processes.
The surface of the pipe fittings after hot-dip galvanizing is bright and beautiful, and can be directly used in the project according to the demand.
Manufacturing process
1. Acid washing: Steel pipes may first undergo an acid washing process to remove surface impurities such as oxides and grease. This step helps to ensure that the zinc coating is well bonded to the surface of the pipe.
2. hot dip galvanizing: after the pickling process, the square tubes are dipped into molten zinc, usually in a molten zinc solution at about 450 degrees Celsius. In this process, a uniform, dense zinc coating is formed on the surface of the tube.
3. Cooling: The dip-plated square tubes are cooled to ensure that the zinc coating adheres firmly to the surface of the steel tube.
Coating Characteristics
1. Anti-corrosion: The zinc coating provides excellent anti-corrosion properties, enabling the steel pipe to maintain a long service life in wet, corrosive environments.
2. Weatherability: Hot-dip galvanized square tubes have good weatherability in different climatic conditions and can maintain their appearance and performance for a long time.
Advantages of hot-dip galvanized square pipe
1. good corrosion resistance: the zinc coating provides excellent corrosion resistance, which makes the hot-dip galvanized square pipe have excellent performance in wet, corrosive environments.
2. Reliable weather resistance: suitable for various climatic conditions, maintaining long-term stability.
3. cost-effective: hot-dip galvanizing provides a relatively economical solution compared to other anti-corrosion treatments.
Areas of Application
1. Building Structures: Used for building bridges, roof frames, building structures, etc. to provide structural stability and corrosion protection.
2. Pipeline transportation: Used for transportation of liquids and gases, such as water supply pipes, gas pipes, etc., to ensure that the pipelines have a long life and are not prone to rusting.
3. Mechanical construction: used as an integral part of mechanical structures to provide strength and corrosion resistance.
